Transition to Teaching
A Program for College Graduates who want to Become Teachers
Our nationally accredited Transition to Teaching program is for individuals with a bachelor’s degree who are interested in obtaining their initial secondary or elementary teaching license. We have two versions of the program: a fully remote program for working adults, especially geared toward those already working in schools, or daytime in-person coursework with traditional field placements. Already teaching on an emergency permit? Check out our online program for working teachers.
Whether in person or online, all of our programs offer the following:
- Professors with P-12 teaching experience
- Individualized faculty advising and mentorship
- Coursework that integrates the most recent research on students, schools, and learning
- An asset-based approach to students’ diverse backgrounds and abilities
- State and national recognition and accreditation
